Morley Ellenbrook Line Road Audit

Morley Ellenbrook Line – Road Safety Auditing

  • The Morley Ellenbrook Line is the premier rail extension project in the Perth Metropolitan extending rail access to the developing north-east quadrant of the Perth area. This project included the development of five new train stations and modifications to a range of road networks and intersections along the route.
  • RoadLogic provided road safety auditing as part of the project reviewing the safety elements of the design for both station precincts and road upgrades / modifications.
  • The audits were completed at various design stages ensuring that safety issues were identified early when amendments could be made without significant rectification costs. This helped to ensure safe design treatments and cost minimisation.
  • Pre-opening RSAs were completed on all project elements to ensure that safety improvements highlighted during the design phase had been implemented. This process also ensured that other potential safety issues were identified and recommendations on treatment were presented to the project team.

QEII Medical Precinct – Traffic Engineering

The Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre encompasses a variety of medical services including two of Western Australia’s premier hospitals and many research institutions.

The precinct has a significant traffic demand and parking requirement for the facilities that it services. This leads to complex traffic and access issues.

RoadLogic support the operations on site, assisting the Department of Health, QEII Trust and the car park operators.

We have been involved in a number of projects on the precinct including:

  • Safety reviews road ways, car parks and loading docks;

  • Congestion studies on access routes to the precinct;

  • Parking amendments for maximise safe and easy parking access;
    Road safety audits;

  • Traffic data collection and reporting including speed compliance and volumes;

  • Wayfinding sign review including sign and messaging suitability
Rio Tinto Traffic Management Plan

TMP for Rio Tinto

  • Development of temporary traffic management plan for the construction of upgrades to the Great Northern Highway north of Newman, WA.
  • Undertake site inspections to determine the constraints of the site and develop and understanding of the treatments required for the works. Pre-planning of the site inspection meant that site review for a future package of work was able to be completed at the same time reducing cost to the client.
  • Changes to the traffic management plan were able to be completed in a timely manner as scope changes and Main Roads WA feedback was received.
  • The final product was provided in a timely manner meeting the client’s needs and receiving approval from Main Roads WA for the works to proceed.

Mends Street South Perth Road Audit

TMP Auditing for the City of South Perth

  • The City of South Perth rely on RoadLogic to review and comment on complex temporary traffic management arrangements in the City’s precinct areas.
  • The review of construction site traffic management involves consideration of construction activities and access arrangements for heavy vehicles and equipment.
  • During implementation of the traffic management arrangements audits were completed on behalf of the City to ensure safety of the installed arrangement and compliance with the approval conditions.
