Delivering Traffic Engineering Expertise at QEII Medical Centre

QEII Road Traffic Planning

How RoadLogic supported one of WA’s busiest health campuses with integrated traffic solutions

Overview

The QEII Medical Centre is a critical hub for healthcare in Western Australia, hosting multiple major hospitals and research facilities. Its scale and complexity demand carefully planned transport infrastructure to ensure smooth operations and safe access for patients, staff, and visitors.

Our Role

RoadLogic, led by Andrew McDougall, provided detailed traffic engineering advice and operational planning as part of broader infrastructure works at QEII.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing internal road layouts and circulation
  • Assessing pedestrian safety and access
  • Modelling vehicle movement and emergency access

Design Considerations

RoadLogic’s assessments were used to inform design and construction phases, reducing risk and improving functionality. The result was a safer, more efficient campus layout that aligns with Safe System principles.
